Tara Curtin

Of Counsel

Tara Curtin is a commercial litigator focusing her practice on business and employment litigation and counseling. Tara represents employers across various industries in a wide range of business disputes before state and federal courts, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies. Tara litigates and provides counsel regarding claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and various New York State and New York City laws. Tara advises on responding to internal complaints, addressing accommodation requests, implementing performance improvement plans, complex separations, and reductions in force. Tara conducts internal investigations and designs policies and strategies to mitigate risk and to ensure compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations. Tara also represents directors, officers and

senior management in complex commercial litigation matters. 

Tara began her career as an associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP where she represented leading banks, global corporations, and select individuals in both federal and state court in high-stakes litigation and appeals. She has also conducted regulatory and internal investigations and anticorruption diligence on behalf of a variety of financial institutions and global corporations.

 

Tara has represented numerous pro bono clients in partnership with the Legal Aid Society and Sanctuary for Families and has been recognized by Sanctuary for Families for her efforts on behalf of her clients.
