Her practice further involves counseling and advising on employment and contract-related issues.  She also has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating employment and independent contractor-related contracts and documents, including offer letters, non-disclosure, copyright, and restrictive covenant agreements, handbooks, privacy policies, employment training materials, leave policies, as well as severance and separation agreements. In addition, her practice involves interpreting relevant employment-related and commercial-related statutes, regulations, and court opinions on behalf of clients on a daily basis. She partners with clients’ in-house human resources, stakeholders and management to develop effective and compliant employment practices, policies and procedures. She also routinely conducts internal company investigations in response to, and in anticipation of, threatened litigation and government regulatory inquiries.  Additionally, she conducts mandatory and recommended employment training for executives, management and non-management employees

 

Lisia previously served as law clerk in California to a Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at a large prominent New York law firm in its corporate department.
